About the Role

As a Tax Professional at PwC Australia, you will play a vital role in offering clients tailored solutions, from supporting compliance and risk management obligations to strategic tax planning, structuring, and transactional technology solutions. You will leverage your expertise to navigate a complex tax environment for clients through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Understand clients' unique needs as a trusted tax professional.
  • Support iconic Australian clients in the financial services sector to navigate the changing tax landscape and build trusted relationships.
  • Manage client portfolios and drive client relationships across various industry specializations.
  • Liaise with relevant taxation authorities.
  • Support complex and strategic tax projects, gaining exposure to Corporate and Global tax business areas.
  • Proactively manage Australian tax obligations through a strong understanding of client circumstances and requirements.
  • Develop strategies for solving complex tax technical questions and meeting client timelines.
  • Drive the use of technology to enhance compliance processes for clients and the wider tax business.
  • Demonstrate a passion for being at the forefront of change and helping the Tax team navigate a complex tax environment.
  • Show a keen interest in technology and an understanding of automation benefits.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering tax advisory and compliance services gained in a professional service environment (Big 4, mid-tier firm, or law firm).
  • Good understanding of the Australian Tax market with exposure to international markets.
  • Use data analytics to provide relevant insights for decision-making.
  • Partner with clients to provide assistance with regulatory reviews, investigations, and disclosures.
  • Efficient with an eye for detail.
  • Strong research skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent business writing and Excel skills.
  • Collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment.

Salary/Compensations

  • Minimum salary for a Senior Associate is AUD 89,000 including superannuation. Higher grades will receive a salary range above this.
