We are seeking a Vice President of Communications to elevate Maven's brand recognition, trust, and cultural relevance in women's and family health. This strategic and hands-on role involves shaping Maven's communications across consumer and corporate PR, social media, executive communications, employer brand, and internal communications, reporting to the Chief of Staff in the Office of the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Maven's global communications strategy across consumer PR, corporate communications, social media, executive communications, employer brand, and internal communications.
- Create a consumer PR strategy that integrates Maven into cultural conversations about women's health, fertility, pregnancy, parenting, menopause, weight and metabolic health, and evolving consumer healthcare expectations.
- Drive proactive earned media across consumer, lifestyle, health, business, technology, and culture by building relationships with key media and influencers.
- Manage communications for major product launches, research, partnerships, campaigns, company milestones, and cultural moments, ensuring announcements become impactful stories.
- Develop creative, communications-led campaigns leveraging Maven's data, member stories, clinical expertise, research, and cultural insights to build brand awareness.
- Implement a clinical storytelling strategy that translates Maven's research, outcomes, data, and provider expertise into compelling narratives for consumers, employers, health plans, and the healthcare community.
- Generate a pipeline of client and member stories to showcase Maven's impact, establishing systems and creative formats for consistent storytelling across various channels.
- Oversee Maven's organic social media strategy, cultivating a distinctive voice and point of view.
- Manage executive communications and thought leadership for the CEO and executive team, including speeches, media appearances, social media, and opinion pieces.
- Shape Maven's corporate narrative and reputation, ensuring a clear and differentiated story about the company's mission and market position.
- Develop Maven's employer brand in partnership with the People team to attract top talent.
- Lead internal communications, including company-wide meetings, major announcements, and leadership communications, to ensure employee understanding and alignment.
- Manage issues and crisis communications with excellent judgment and leadership.
- Build and lead a high-performing communications organization focused on impact and speed.
Requirements

- Extensive relationships across consumer, lifestyle, health, business, and technology media.
- Proven track record of generating sustained, high-impact earned coverage through ideas, trends, data, people, and cultural moments.

- Comfort operating in a regulated and high-trust category where creativity balances accuracy and credibility.
- Ability to be both strategic and hands-on, developing multi-year strategies and executing tactical tasks.
