About the Role
London Hire Community Services provides accessible home-to-school transport for individuals unable to use public transport. We prioritize passenger and staff safety, adhering to industry standards and OHSAS 18001.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
- Help passengers, including those with disabilities, embark and disembark safely.
- Supervise passengers during transit and ensure their welfare.
- Operate passenger lifts and other boarding equipment as needed.
- Secure wheelchairs using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure passengers in wheelchairs are properly secured.
- Communicate with passengers and clients patiently and respectfully.
- Report delays and incidents according to depot procedures.
- Maintain vehicle security while in use.
- Utilize communication equipment effectively for service efficiency.
