About the Role

WME is building the next generation of internal platforms for a leading entertainment company. This role involves partnering with product managers, designers, and engineers to build scalable systems for critical business workflows, leveraging AI-assisted development tools, and shaping the team's operational processes in a growing engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications and APIs using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Develop and maintain Node.js backend with REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs
• Contribute to architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems
• Partner closely with product managers and designers to deliver thoughtful solutions
• Translate operational needs into practical technical solutions
• Participate in and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
• Support and mentor new career engineers on the team

Requirements

• Solid software engineering experience, typically 5+ years
• Strong full-stack development experience building modern web applications
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Backend experience with Node.js, building services and APIs
• Experience designing and working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with containerized workloads using Docker (Kubernetes a plus)
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts; experience with Terraform a plus
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Strong product instincts and collaborative mindset
• Comfortable working in environments where systems and processes are still evolving
