About the Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide strategic advice and counsel to Leaders and their respective leadership teams in Global Functions Technology and Wealth Management Technology on all aspects of Human Resources including talent management, organizational design, change management, workforce management, leadership, employee development, performance management and rewards and recognition.

Responsibilities

  • Help Leaders utilize organizational structure, reward/compensation systems, leadership, teams, and culture to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Partner with Leaders and HR partners to provide advice and counsel on resolving issues and concerns, balancing risk and enterprise priorities.
  • Utilize HR Data to inform decision-making and recommend actions on Employee Experience opportunities.
  • Understand HR’s People and Culture strategy and work with Leaders to determine people and organization implications for their teams.
  • Shape the application of HR strategy and determine local initiatives for execution within supported teams.
  • Work with leadership teams to acquire and assess talent.
  • Recommend ways to develop people driving performance in current or future roles.
  • Manage HR’s performance, talent development, and succession cycles.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and formal development recommendations to Leaders.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources, including experience in an HR Business Partner role working directly with senior leaders.
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Demonstrate RBC’s Blueprint in day to day activities, living our values and our behaviours.
  • Eagerness to learn and desire to drive to solution, having impact in the teams in which you partner.
  • Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities including the ability to impact, influence, and constructively challenge senior leaders.
  • Ability to prioritize high volume, competing priorities for multiple stakeholders and in turn deliver balance of advice and counsel with strong execution capabilities.
  • Ability to understand, assess and respond to complex situations and provide strategic and innovative solutions to drive results.
  • Ability to use data, insights and storytelling to identify trends, influence decisions and recommend action.
  • Solid aptitude for change management capabilities and leadership effectiveness.
  • Strong business acumen, growth mindset, and consultative orientation.
