About the Role

The Executive Assistant will foster productive relationships between the executive and legislative branches and assist the Mayor's administration in developing and advancing the Administration’s agenda through State law and the State budget.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule meetings on behalf of SLA staff.
  • Enter data into databases and Excel sheets.
  • Review and track legislation.
  • Facilitate interactions between elected officials' offices, City and State agencies, and the Administration, including responding to requests from members and staff promptly.
  • Assist SLA staff with meeting preparations.

Requirements

  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization, and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described above.
