About the Role
We are looking for customer-focused individuals to join our Utility Division, working on the Thames Water contract to deliver effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.
Responsibilities
- Travel to residential sites via a HGV in a two-person team, powering a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
- Clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems.
- Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
- Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
- Deliver good customer service.
- Maintain good health and safety practices while carrying out works.
- Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
- Comply with health and safety responsibilities, including PPE and safe site setups.
- Utilize VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
- Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment.
- Safely access vehicle cabs, sites, and offices using correct procedures.
- Manipulate flexible pipework in a safe manner utilizing correct manual handling techniques.
- Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE or utilizing the lone worker system.
- Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions.
- Liaise with the client regarding process and any updates.
- Provide support to colleagues.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment, and plant before and after use.
- Report any defects or malfunctions.
- Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and responsibilities towards them.
- Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks, duties, or projects as requested by management.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of a HGV Class 2 licence.
- Must have completed the certificate of professional competence (CPC).
- Must have an up-to-date digi tachograph card.
- Ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Skills
- High Pressure Jetting equipment operation (useful but not essential)
- NRSWA (advantage)
- Confined Spaces (advantage)
