About the Role

We are looking for customer-focused individuals to join our Utility Division, working on the Thames Water contract to deliver effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to residential sites via a HGV in a two-person team, powering a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
  • Clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems.
  • Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
  • Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
  • Deliver good customer service.
  • Maintain good health and safety practices while carrying out works.
  • Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
  • Comply with health and safety responsibilities, including PPE and safe site setups.
  • Utilize VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
  • Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment.
  • Safely access vehicle cabs, sites, and offices using correct procedures.
  • Manipulate flexible pipework in a safe manner utilizing correct manual handling techniques.
  • Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE or utilizing the lone worker system.
  • Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions.
  • Liaise with the client regarding process and any updates.
  • Provide support to colleagues.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment, and plant before and after use.
  • Report any defects or malfunctions.
  • Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.
  • Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and responsibilities towards them.
  • Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks, duties, or projects as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a HGV Class 2 licence.
  • Must have completed the certificate of professional competence (CPC).
  • Must have an up-to-date digi tachograph card.
  • Ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Skills

  • High Pressure Jetting equipment operation (useful but not essential)
  • NRSWA (advantage)
  • Confined Spaces (advantage)

  • OTE £55,000 per annum (made up of basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses)
