About the Role

As a critical member of the Utility Division, you will work on the Thames Water contract, delivering effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems. This role involves traveling to residential sites in a two-person team, operating high-pressure water jetting equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to residential sites via a HGV in a two-person team, powering a high-pressure water jet for restoration
  • Clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems
  • Record job reports correctly on specialist equipment
  • Run diagnostics and repairs on drains
  • Deliver good customer service
  • Maintain good health and safety practices
  • Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
  • Comply with health and safety responsibilities, including PPE and safe site setups
  • Utilize VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
  • Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment
  • Safely access vehicle cabs, sites, and offices using correct procedures
  • Manipulate flexible pipework safely, including loading and unloading
  • Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE or utilizing the lone worker system
  • Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions
  • Liaise with the client regarding process and updates
  • Provide support to colleagues
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment, and plant before and after use
  • Report any defects or malfunctions
  • Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception
  • Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and responsibilities
  • Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks, duties, or projects as requested by management

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a HGV Class 2 licence
  • Must have completed the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Must have an up-to-date digi tachograph card
  • Ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions
  • Hard working and respectful
  • Comply with health and safety standards

Skills

  • High Pressure Jetting equipment operation (useful but not essential)
  • NRSWA (advantage)
  • Confined Spaces qualifications (advantage)

Salary/Compensations

  • OTE £50,000 per annum (basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses)
