About the Role

Every Huck’s Market Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of their shift, contributing to the store's profitability while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers promptly and provide courteous service.
• Ensure store appearance meets company standards.
• Handle customer conflicts using the 'MAKE IT RIGHT' method.
• Complete shift checklists according to company policy.
• Properly record all hours worked.
• Ring all sales accurately.
• Record all voids, refunds, and price overrides.
• Advise Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations.
• Treat all co-workers and customers with dignity and respect.
• Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
• Protect all company assets, including cash and merchandise.
• Follow vendor check-in procedures.
• Keep coolers, drink boxes, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted.
• Clean and maintain equipment and prepare high-margin products.
• Use correct pricing for all merchandise.
• Employ suggestive selling techniques.
• Keep store floors clean at all times.
• Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance and temperatures.
• Clean windows, floors, shelving, counters, gas pumps, and parking lot.
• Ensure ladders are used properly.
• Follow lifting procedures per company policy.
• Use wet floor signs as required.
• Report accidents promptly.
• Actively promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers.
• Communicate the benefits of the loyalty app to customers.
• Monitor transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts.
• Assist customers with signing up and using the app.

• Follow all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
• Follow the work schedule as posted.
• Operate shift within company guidelines and policies.
• Ensure Store Manager is aware of all sales, cash, or operating discrepancies.
• Actively participate in all Company contests.
• Follow company policy with regard to excessive cash in registers, change funds, and safe security.
• Follow company policy regarding not allowing another associate to operate their cash drawer.
• Follow company shift change procedures.
