About the Role
M&A Operations assists clients navigate M&A transactions and manage operational aspects pre and post completion. We quickly assimilate key operational issues, synergies, risks, and upsides to deliver results on projects including operational due diligence, value creation strategy, carve-outs, integration support, and post-deal performance improvement.
Responsibilities
- Work on a range of projects across different business sectors, focusing on Finance Function responsibilities including finance processes, operations, and reporting.
- Advise CFOs and their Finance Functions on key decision making and risk mitigation throughout the deal, drawing on previous client experience and knowledge of deals.
- Understand, analyze, and provide trusted opinions on key issues and opportunities facing the Finance Function in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Lead teams and act as a trusted advisor to senior Finance members to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Drive business development and internal initiatives to grow and develop the team and market reach.
- Develop new ways to support clients in the deal environment and expand networks within PwC and with external clients.
Requirements
- Experience in finance advisory roles gained in a consulting firm, or in-house Finance role with a focus on driving Finance function effectiveness.
- M&A experience, ideally with synergy, integration, and/or carve-out projects related to Finance functions.
- Strong understanding of the structure and underlying processes supporting the Finance Function, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and PTP, RTR, OTC processes.
- Experience managing and leading Finance change/transformation projects.
- Expertise in Financial analysis and understanding of key operational/business drivers.
- Ability to quickly understand large amounts of information and draw out hypotheses and/or conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills, including producing high-quality written reports and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Professional accounting qualification, MBA, or similar qualification (or international equivalent), or equivalent work experience.
