About the Role

SJC Media is building the AI layer for its GTM Operations. As an Applied AI Engineer (GTM), you will own that layer end-to-end, including agentic workflows, CRM integrations, tooling, and production systems. The goal is to enable GTM teams to spend more time on client calls and less on manual processes, ultimately growing win-rate, increasing rep effectiveness, and growing average deal size. This role sits within the CoE's Data function to ensure GTM AI capabilities leverage robust data sources.

Responsibilities

  • Discover and scope GTM workflows, identify high-value automation opportunities, and develop scope and requirements specifications.
  • Design and ship internal tools, AI-native systems, and production-grade AI agents that scale revenue and connect with CRM.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate tools, LLMs, and platforms for each use case, designing reliable, secure, and auditable agent systems.
  • Write clean, documented code (Python, Go, JavaScript, etc.) and utilize agentic coding tools as a core part of the development workflow.
  • Stay updated on the LLM/AI landscape, document findings, build memory layers, and create knowledge bases for GTM teams.
  • Track pipeline and adoption impact of deployed solutions, iterate based on usage, contribute to architecture peer reviews, and present findings to leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering or applied AI / GTM automations experience with a track record of shipping production systems end-to-end.
  • Proficient in Python or similar, writing readable and maintainable code.
  • Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs, frameworks, and orchestration tools (LangChain, LangGraph or similar).
  • Comfortable with agentic system design, understanding when to use single LLM calls versus multi-agent pipelines.
  • Working fluency in GTM/sales workflows and understanding where automation removes friction.
  • Background in fast-moving environments (media, advertising, tech, or startups) with a bias toward shipping.
  • Self-directed with the ability to scope and deliver projects without a fully structured backlog.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data concepts (data modeling, data pipelines, SQL) to work fluidly with a data team.
  • Experience adopting agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as a genuine part of the workflow.
