About the Role
A Personal Trainer is responsible for providing personal training services to help members maximize workout efficiency, improve fitness, increase stamina, and enhance their overall sense of well-being. They are expected to spend the majority of their work week member-facing, delivering personal training, onboarding, or complimentary services, and educating members on Life Time's Core 3 Brand and Philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Develops safe, professional, exciting, and comprehensive personal training programs.
- Monitors and instructs clients on the safe and effective use of fitness equipment.
- Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends.
- Conducts fitness consultations for new clients, including assessments and goal setting.
- Refers members to appropriate personal trainer levels based on their needs.
- Fulfills member service requirements, including fitness assessments, equipment operations, service desk duties, and equipment cleaning.
- Promotes and sells personal training programs and services.
- Completes administrative requirements for client fitness plans.
- Stays current on certifications and industry trends.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of personal training experience
- Certified Personal Trainer
- CPR and AED Certified
- Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition, and program design
- Ability to perform aerobic activity for the duration of a class
- Ability to bend, stand, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds

Salary/Compensations
- Commission-based tied to performance goals
- Minimum pay in excess of 1.5 times the applicable minimum wage per hour
