About the Role
NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital is a leading institution providing personalized care. The EKG-EEG technician will bring comfort, calm, and compassion to patients while conducting appropriate EKG-EEG tests in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct appropriate EKG-EEG tests ordered.
- Operate all laboratory equipment.
- Communicate with all hospital staff, physicians, patients, and visitors via the telephone and in person.
- Deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma.
- Function well under the normal pressures of hospital laboratory work.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Some laboratory training and EKG/EEG experience.
- Ability to operate all laboratory equipment and work various shifts.
- Ability to communicate with all hospital staff, physicians, patients, and visitors via the telephone and in person.
- Ability to deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma to patients.
- Must be able to function well under the normal pressures of hospital laboratory work.
- Possess effective communication and organizational skills.
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
