About the Role

The Site Director leads daily operations of a Healthy Kids Programs location, creating a safe and engaging program for children. This role involves supporting and coaching the team, building relationships with families and school partners, and ensuring program quality and licensing compliance. The ideal candidate is an energetic, organized leader passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the site.
  • Create a safe and engaging program for children.
  • Support and coach the team.
  • Build strong relationships with families and school partners.
  • Ensure the program meets quality standards and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Ensure the site operates in ratio at all times.
  • Ensure records are accurate and current.
  • Ensure teachers are prepared, supported, and present for the children.

Requirements

  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Experience Level

  • 1 year in a supervisory role (with Associate degree or equivalent)
  • 2 years of experience working with children under 13 (with Associate degree or equivalent)
  • 2 years of relevant experience (with NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential)
  • 2 years of relevant experience (with School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent)

Education Level

  • Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field
  • Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field
  • NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential
  • School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential

Salary/Compensations

  • $17.00 per hour
