About the Role

The Pricing Analyst will serve as a central resource for intermodal costing and pricing decisions, aiming to establish, maintain, and analyze pricing. This role will provide recommendations to Sales and Operations teams to drive volume and revenue growth within the Intermodal business line.

Responsibilities

  • Provide all intermodal pricing, from spot rate requests to formal RFPs.
  • Manage the pricing process from receipt through submission, coordinating with operations and sales.
  • Work with Operations to ensure freight is routed profitably through continuous template management.
  • Promote Intermodal and educate Sales on the mode by offering new modal alternatives to OTR.
  • Maintain railroad and drayage vendor pricing for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting for Management and Sales.
  • Engage with Operations to understand market conditions and formulate pricing levels.
  • Work with Billing and AR to resolve missing rates and expirations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Analyze historical and market data to identify opportunities for margin increase, carrier base improvement, cost reduction, and business growth.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and ability to manage complex data and summarize results.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify all cost elements within complex RFPs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Innovative; uses creativity and good judgment to develop solutions and resolve issues.

  • $53,024.40 - $70,699.20
  • Annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%
