About the Role
Join Carvana, the fastest-growing used automotive retailer, as an Autobody Prepper. This role involves performing light bodywork and preparing vehicles for sale, utilizing state-of-the-art tools in high-tech Inspection Centers. Training programs are available for entry-level positions to ensure skill and pay progression.
Responsibilities
- Perform light bodywork, including prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles
- Remove and install bumpers
- Perform minor plastic welding
- Conduct small area bodywork, including Bondo repair
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment
- Willingness to work in conditions with potential exposure to excessive weather (heat/cold)
- Ability to use safety equipment (face shield/goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, protective garments)
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs
