About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Perform ergonomic assessments, POET’s, work hardening and facilitating FCE’s.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of clinicians and gain exposure to complex occupational rehab cases.
  • Provide individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries.
  • Support veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals.
  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
  • Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts regularly.
  • Responsible for the marketing and growth of the kinesiology department through analysis of stakeholders to create a strategic marketing plan with the assistance of the clinic director.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures, and regular one-on-one education to clients.
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
  • Ensure return-to-work plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client's chart.
