About the Role

BTY Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Project Management team in Toronto. This role involves acting as the owner's advocate, providing end-to-end project oversight, and ensuring client interests are protected on complex developments. The team delivers integrated technical oversight, strategic guidance, and proactive risk management across various project types.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Monitor change management processes and workflows.
  • Attend required meetings including working groups, design coordination, and governance meetings.
  • Prepare meeting packages including agendas, minutes, action logs, and decision items.
  • Monitor change management protocols throughout project phases.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met through clear communication and follow-up on project plans, schedules, and action items.
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Coordinate workload and team resources.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate level team members while actively participating and leading team meetings.
  • Prepare the technical components and fees for proposals.
  • Network occasionally promoting the business, cross-selling, and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management or construction management experience on capital projects.
  • Minimum 3 years experience mentoring team members.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including MS Project.
  • Experienced in managing projects through design, procurement, and construction.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative.
  • Responsive to internal and external stakeholder requests.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and ability to work to own initiatives.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail to produce quality work with good time management.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
