About the Role

This role will lead the data governance strategy for our data warehouse and analytics environment, focusing on platform capabilities that make data discoverable, trusted, and well-managed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our data governance platform, establishing cataloging, lineage, data quality standards, and policy enforcement capabilities.

Responsibilities

Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data governance platform.
Establish cataloging, lineage, data quality standards, and policy enforcement capabilities.
Translate governance needs into robust, scalable, and user-friendly platform capabilities.
Drive adoption of governance tooling and manage the required change management.
Define and track success metrics for governance work, including adoption, coverage, and data quality.
Use data to prioritize investment and report on impact.
Lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years professional experience, with 4+ years in product-based roles focusing on data products or platforms (governance, catalog, quality, or analytics platforms preferred).
Proven experience defining and executing a data governance strategy, from assessment to roadmap and rollout.
Strong understanding of data governance concepts: data quality standards, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, and policy enforcement.
Experience with data governance and analytics platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon, Databricks Unity Catalog, or similar).
Proficiency in SQL.
Fluency in reading data models, metadata, and lineage representations.
Demonstrated ability to drive platform adoption across data producers, stewards, and consumers.
Demonstrated ability to define and track success metrics for governance work.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
