About the Role

A happy and friendly Battery Park family seeks a full-time, live-out nanny for their newborn, starting no later than mid-January 2027. The role involves providing nurturing and proactive care, engaging with the child in a loving and age-appropriate way, and completing light, child-related housekeeping. The ideal candidate will partner with parents who value good communication, is organized, independent, and professional, and has a warm, hands-on approach with knowledge of child development.

Responsibilities

  • Providing nurturing and proactive care for the child
  • Interacting with the child in an engaging, loving, and age-appropriate way
  • Completing light, child-related housekeeping duties (laundry, meal preparation, organization)
  • Maintaining all common areas in a clean and tidy state
  • Partnering with and supporting first-time parents with infant and toddler milestones

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the US
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with families with young children (with long-term tenure)
  • Well-suited demeanor and recent experience working with infants and eventual toddlers
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence
  • Experience in partnering and supporting first-time parents with infant and toddler milestones
  • A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy, dual working parent household (Mom works from home)
