About the Role
Join our outpatient private practice as a motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Podiatrist. We are seeking a team player with excellent communication skills who enjoys helping others and is dedicated to restoring patient function and mobility for a better quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide podiatry services including diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions affecting the foot and ankle.
- Manage orthopedic conditions such as tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, and Charcot.
- Treat dermatologic conditions including wounds, tinea pedis, fungal toenails, dermatitis, and ingrown toenails.
- Provide Diabetic Foot Care and evaluate neuropathy.
- Perform wound care.
- Refer surgical conditions to other podiatrists in the practice (for nonsurgical candidates).
- Order and review appropriate tests.
- Evaluate clinical data.
- Formulate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Perform treatments.
- Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, expectations, goals, and post-care.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with the team for comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Surgically trained Podiatrist who is Board Qualified or Board Certified, or able to become Board Qualified within 2 years of employment.
- Nonsurgical Podiatrist will also be considered.
- Must be Board Certified within 5 years of Board Qualification to maintain hospital privileges.
- Licensed to practice in NY.
