About the Role
The Business Solutions Group (BSG) team, part of Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group (ISG), functions as an in-house management consulting team. They provide strategic program management, delivery, transformation, operational improvement, and regulatory change support. This role is foundational in shaping the team’s capabilities and delivering high-impact engagements.
Responsibilities
- Provide program management and delivery support for key business initiatives.
- Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams focusing on program planning, readiness planning, and program execution.
- Manage risk monitoring and remediation planning.
- Prepare management reporting.
- Support high quality, multi-workstream consulting engagements within ISG, including front office, risk, finance, operations, and technology.
- Partner with BSG leadership and stakeholders on program planning and execution to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist with risk/issue resolution.
- Assist in the production and coordination of presentations and collateral for senior management.
- Support change management, process enhancements, control, and governance-related initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technology, operations, finance, and risk teams to diagnose issues and develop resolutions.
- Track and analyze engagement economics, staffing, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Proven ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proven experience developing partnerships and coordinating across various business and functional stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately.
- Strong presentation skills, including ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations.
- Independent self-starter capable of managing multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn the business and understand detailed technical requirements.
