About the Role

Apogem Capital is hiring an experienced Assistant Vice President of Strategy to primarily support the execution of its operations integration and business growth strategy initiatives. This position will report to the Vice President of Strategy. This role will entail providing program management and competitive benchmarking support for key business transformation initiatives, process re-engineering, and operating model design to support business growth. This position requires experience in the investment management industry with exposure to AI/ML capabilities for market research, technology, and operations, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional program management of large-scale operations and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and establish program governance structure and cadences.
  • Partner with investment, operations, and technology teams to define, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Perform market research and support development of perspectives on strategic implications of key developments in the industry.
  • Support competitive benchmarking to evolve existing product solutions.
  • Develop financial models to determine the short-term and long-term impact of new product initiatives.
  • Assist with design of cross-functional processes to support business growth.
  • Assist with development of materials to support leadership decisions in firmwide committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a strong record of academic achievement.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of overall experience, with 3+ years in top-tier investment management or consulting firm in a product development and strategy capacity.
  • Good understanding of the investment management industry, investment operations, regulatory guidelines, and headwinds impacting private credit and private equity investment strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, decision-oriented materials.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and drive to deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong project and process management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities concurrently.
  • Willing to travel 10% of time.

Salary/Compensations

  • Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
