About the Role
Support Underwriters in the region with tasks related to underwriting and administration. Work closely with Underwriters on renewals, account maintenance, and models/systems. Assist in data quality assurance and best practice development within Business Services. Utilize communication and relationship-building skills with underwriters, clients, and internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite under guidance within defined limits.
- Prepare individual cases for pricing and modeling.
- Liaise with Actuaries to deliver technical pricing to Underwriters.
- Utilize modeling systems to aid the underwriting process.
- Conduct research as requested by Underwriters.
- Operate within defined authority levels, subject to periodic review.
- Conduct pre-underwriting for renewals.
- Handle endorsements on active business.
- Conduct specific analyses for new business.
- Follow up on renewals.
- Enter information into underwriting systems.
- Develop an internal network for information and data transfer.
- Assist the business group in maintaining and developing their book of business.
- Develop skill sets and authority to accept risk in underwriting profitable accounts.
- Understand the strategy and financial targets of AXA XL Commercial Bond and the business unit.
- Meet individual targets and goals supporting the business plan.
- Attend internal and external meetings with clients and brokers.
Requirements
- Some related experience.
- A personal drive for excellence, a track record of exceeding expectations and a flair for innovation.
- Able to perform tasks according to established procedures, with some ability to exercise discretion.
