About the Role
Join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional support and guidance to employees navigating their benefit plans. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted resource for claims, billing, eligibility, and coverage questions across medical, prescription, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits. The ideal candidate combines strong customer service and problem-solving skills with a passion for learning and growing their expertise in the employee benefits and insurance industry.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily service tasks, including member claims, billing, eligibility, and service-related issues
- Manage phone calls across various service lines, such as medical, prescription, dental, vision, and ancillary employee benefits
- Maintain and update software for tracking phone calls and emails promptly, ensuring accurate records of ongoing activities
- Process and request plan updates and HIPAA authorization forms, coordinating with the appropriate parties
- Conduct thorough research on employer plans to provide accurate and detailed answers to employees
- Oversee case management tasks, ensuring timely resolution
- Address high-priority prescription issues with efficiency and care
- Actively engage in learning; study industry trends.
- Seeks out self-directed learning to increase industry knowledge
- Maintains carrier updates and bulletins in a shared document environment.

Requirements
- High School diploma/equivalent plus 1 year directly applicable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic math skills.
- Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Efficient prioritization and time management skills
- Demonstrated customer service focus
- Ability to quickly learn multiple software systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar systems, including spreadsheets, email, word processing, and presentation software
