About the Role
The Sales and Education Executive is responsible for leading their assigned market’s sales, education, and event strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales goals and record sales on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Analyze business performance and implement strategies to drive sales results.
- Identify whitespace opportunities, productivity drivers, and market expansion strategies.
- Create tailored, market-level strategies accounting for local dynamics.
- Share insights and feedback with leadership.
- Execute brand strategic initiatives.
- Build strong brand and retailer partnerships.
- Communicate with store leadership prior to and during in-store visits.
- Plan and execute impactful store events.
- Manage retailer inventory levels for sales growth.
- Coach and develop retail employees to achieve sales goals and KPIs.
- Foster a culture of ownership, entrepreneurial thinking, and brand pride.
- Demonstrate and teach makeup artistry skills.
- Develop others through hands-on demonstration, team selling, and coaching.
- Provide leadership and motivation on the sales floor.
- Assist clients with product knowledge, makeup applications, and purchases.
- Facilitate and support brand and retailer trainings.
- Own on-boarding and ongoing training for new retail employees.
- Complete all education and training programs.
- Maintain education tools and kits.
- Manage gratis allocation.
- Facilitate brand events including planning, execution, recap, and follow up.
- Manage allocation of event resources and budget.
- Manage TOA allocation.
- Manage event collateral.
- Maintain event tools.
- Follow brand budget guidelines and track budgets.
- Complete required tracking tools and documents for KPIs.
- Maintain an accurate working calendar.
- Maintain VM Standards & Guidelines in all retail locations within territory.
- Recruit, hire, and train retail staff in specific retailers.
- Recruit, hire, and train freelance team members, managing hours, schedules, and communication.
- Build and develop a high-performing freelance team.
- Ensure freelancers represent the brand with excellence and professionalism.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in Sales and Education.
- Sephora / Nordstrom experience is a plus.
- Team player with a positive outlook and open mindset.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships.
- Passionate about clean beauty.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Makeup artistry skills with the ability to connect artistry and education to sales.
- Flexible schedule and available to work weekends.
- Ability to travel throughout the region for events, trainings and store visits.
- Ability to work independently.
- Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PPT.
- Proficient in Google Drive preferred.
