About the Role
The Global Patient Services (GPS) Department at Cleveland Clinic London provides comprehensive support for international and high-net-worth patients. The Patient Ambassador Coordinator plays a key role in managing patient services, addressing diverse requests, and facilitating seamless healthcare experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate GPS patients including registration, travel arrangements, and payments.
- Support office operations by performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, taking requests, data entry, and scheduling appointments.
- Act as a liaison between Cleveland Clinic London and outside providers, including foreign government embassies.
- Provide and secure necessary documentation for international patients, including insurance information and medical documents.
- Correspond with all parties involved and communicate relevant information with GPS management.
- Act as a liaison with the Pre-Registration team and other ancillary departments.
- Ensure timely reports are provided to patients and referring physicians.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation and files.
- Explain hospital resources, office protocols, and limitations to clinicians and patients.
- Make appropriate referrals and serve as a cultural and linguistic resource.
- Perform duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
- Other duties as assigned by Head of Global Patients Services.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a healthcare setting (essential).
- Demonstrable experience of working in a customer service environment (essential).
- Demonstrable experience of providing administrative support (essential).
- Significant experience in healthcare with knowledge of medical terminology and vocabulary (desirable).
- Experience of providing customer service in a VIP/luxury setting (desirable).
- Able to speak or communicate in a second language (desirable).
