About the Role
Quest Global is seeking a Controls Steam Turbine Technical Lead Engineer to develop and apply advanced control technologies to steam turbine applications. This role involves reviewing complex controls upgrade projects, collaborating with design engineers, and writing, testing, and developing requirements for turbine application code. You will also support on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards. Additionally, you will support software acceptance tests, assist Engineering Services field personnel in technical problem resolution, and manage multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced control technologies to steam turbine applications
- Review complex controls upgrade projects
- Collaborate with design engineers of various disciplines to surface control system requirements and drive equipment requirements for controllability
- Write, test, and develop requirements for turbine application code
- Support on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards
- Support software acceptance tests with customers
- Support Engineering Services field personnel in technical resolution of field problems
- Handle multiple projects / activities
- Review and interpret customer specifications
Requirements
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to commute to and from the location with own transportation
- Strong background in upgrading Steam Turbine Controls to GE Vernova MarkVIe controls
