About the Role
As a Lease Administration Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our Lease Administration team, ensuring our Leasing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the Retail Real Estate industry, especially as our company is rapidly growing and expanding.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all lease-related transactions (monthly rent, insurance, CAM, taxes) are reviewed and properly recorded.
- Abstract, interpret, and maintain tenant lease documents.
- Analyze leases and gather thoughtful conclusions to relay interpretation to senior management.
- Prepare rent variance analysis for monthly reporting and annual budgeting.
- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and annual reconciliations.
- Process tenant legal documents to ensure all charges and lease terms are accurate.
- Perform monthly tenant billings, rent roll changes, rent projections, and tenant reconciliations.
- Analyze account ledgers and initiate contact with tenants to collect arrears and/or reconcile outstanding balances.
- Apply basic ledger functions such as payments and charges.
- Understand and interpret complex lease language and data.
- Track critical dates pertaining to lease clauses and landlord deadlines.
- Resolve landlord/tenant issues related to lease language and rent charges.
- Coordinate with corporate employees and mall staff to ensure accurate information gathering and communication.
- Review and analyze reports to ensure monthly reporting is accurate and concise.
- Fulfill duties while adhering to strict deadlines and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Assist in special projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with all Company members to enhance leasing and marketing of mall properties and deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping proprietary information confidential.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- AS/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business related field or 1-2 years of experience in a business environment.
- 1+ years of office or administrative experience in a professional setting preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
- MS Excel experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with an interest in expanding financial analysis skills.
- Understanding of basic ledger functions such as payments/receipts and charges.
- Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a high-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
- Use of computer screens and keyboards.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for constant use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone/radio.
- Ability to operate office equipment, including a copier, fax machine, postage machine, etc.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Speech and hearing sufficient for regular communications on the phone, radio or face-to-face.
- Vision sufficient for reading work-related documents on a monitor or in paper format.
- Sufficient sense of smell to detect dangerous odors.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb, and reach in the course of normal office functions.
