Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager to lead and coach the team to provide great experiences for guests.
  • Create an environment where engagement, diversity, and showmanship are paramount.
  • Set the standard for professionalism and deliver exceptional service, cleanliness, premiere picture and sound, food & beverage.
  • Operate and supervise a theatre and its employees.
  • Act as a representative to Regal consistent with the mission statement and policies.
  • Ensure regular and consistent attendance.
  • Uphold and administer all theatre policies.
  • Train, develop, coach, and supervise non-management employees.
  • Perform all staff positions as required.
  • Operate all projection and audio-visual equipment, including hardware, software, film handling, and maintenance.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all systems in Booth and Projection technology, including maintenance, programming, TMS operation, and projection skills.
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • Monitor risk management, including employee and patron safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and accident handling/reporting/investigation.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts, including cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, discount tickets, and other payment methods.
  • Comply with dress code.
  • Complete or be in the process of completing the management certification program.
  • Review and understand the ROM.
  • Interview, hire, schedule, coach, counsel, suspend, and terminate employees, with oversight from the General Manager or senior management, and after conferring with Human Resources.
  • Administer applicable paperwork and uphold company policies related to Human Resources.
  • Control costs, including direct operating expenses.
  • Purchase and order concession and café stock and other supplies.
  • Manage inventory and auditing processes for supplies.
  • Supervise theatre maintenance, including performing minor repairs and obtaining qualified personnel for major concerns.
  • Market and promote feature film engagements.
  • Schedule movie show times and ensure timely delivery of show times to all channels.
  • Read and understand training materials covering topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the GM or other senior manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (if not currently a high school student).
  • At least three months supervisory experience, or 6 months theatre experience with completion of Cast Certification Program, or a combination thereof, or potential leadership/management skills subject to VP approval.
  • If assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol, must be of legal age and complete required state/local training and certification.
  • Complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
  • Possess good public speaking skills.
  • Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, etc.
  • Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and ability to explain information to others.
  • Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
  • Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes.
  • Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, and recommend solutions.
  • Take action beyond what is necessarily called for and perform tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of basic office programs including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Operate copiers and other office equipment.
  • Devise and access different filing systems and maintain attention to detail.
  • Use tools and equipment with dexterity and perform mechanical tasks as necessary.
  • Interface effectively with customers, the public, and co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others.
  • Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve objectives.
  • Directly supervise employees.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Regal's policies and applicable laws.
  • Train and coach employees.
