About the Role
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced MEP Superintendent to join a dynamic team on a direct hire basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site construction activities for large-scale, mission-critical projects from groundbreaking through commissioning and handoff.
- Oversee daily site operations, coordinating trades, subcontractors, GC relationships, and union representatives.
- Enforce safety and quality standards, driving schedules to aggressive delivery milestones.
- Interpret complex structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, specs, and RFIs, resolving field issues promptly.
- Manage onsite logistics, materials, and equipment coordination.
- Provide progress reporting to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading on-site construction activities for large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while coordinating effectively with general contractors, owners, and union representatives.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and NEC requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Experience managing project schedules, site logistics, material deliveries, equipment coordination, and day-to-day field operations.
- Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods.
- Frequent climbing of stairs, ladders, and access platforms.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach.
- Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and construction activities.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to wear required PPE.
- Must be capable of accessing confined spaces, elevated work areas, and equipment rooms.
- Ability to read plans, equipment labels, test instruments, and computer screens.
- Frequent use of laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Ability to travel as required and work extended hours, weekends, or shift schedules.
