About the Role
A skilled carpenter involved in high-level millwork, including woodwork, casework, and ornamental metalwork.
Responsibilities
- Install AWW, PL + Metal casework, fume hoods, DFH, and miscellaneous specialties.
- Preplan jobs by identifying necessary tools, materials, and the fastest, safest installation techniques.
- Follow and participate in the IWC Safety Program and adhere to the IWC Safety Promise.
- Perform jobs in the safest manner, avoiding personal harm.
- Enhance personal and coworker safety through conduct, contributing to a positive work environment.
- Report workplace hazards and suggest control measures.
- Utilize and respect Stop Work Authority.
- Cooperate and contribute to the overall success of the safety program.
- Report all injuries and incidents promptly.
Requirements
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Supply personal tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Physically able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds.
- Physically able to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Physically able to use hands and arms to reach, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Physically able to see well (naturally or with correction).
- Physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
