Responsibilities
- Keep Deli service areas well stocked and appealing.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly.
- Ensure merchandise freshness, proper pricing, and correct signage.
- Rotate products and handle spoiled or damaged items according to company procedures.
- Operate slicing equipment and prepare ready-to-eat foods, platters, and trays.
- Safely use knives and kitchen utensils.
- Adhere to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food.
- Operate cash register and ensure proper money handling.
- Adhere to laws related to tobacco and alcohol sales.
- Maintain general sanitation in the department, including cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance.
- Dispose of trash properly.
- Assist in inventory control through time and temperature practices.
- Minimize losses by proper product handling and logging.
- Assist with baling cardboard and other related duties.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, and storing deliveries.
- Ensure smooth department and store function by cooperating with co-workers and superiors.
- Continuously improve job performance.
- Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
