About the Role
RBC Thought Leadership aims to foster an ambitious Canadian approach to AI and disruptive technologies by providing insights and data to help clients and communities understand global forces. The team delivers economic analyses, reports, and conversations with experts to empower informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead tech research, policy analysis, and insights by engaging with industry groups, governments, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance and briefing material on AI/technology opportunities, trends, regulation, Canada's competitiveness, risks, and emerging technology.
- Serve as a thought leader on AI policy matters at conferences, seminars, and industry events.
- Source new ideas and guests for the RBC Disruptors podcast.
- Leverage partnerships and in-house events to engage key stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies, trends, and regulations to anticipate potential impacts on business operations.
- Work strategically with key internal RBC partners and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in tech policy development, technology innovation, or related areas.
- In-depth understanding of AI, tech disruption, regulations, and policy issues.
- Strong skills and experience building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
- Ability to work across multiple internal teams and seek alignment across key priorities.
- Highly adaptable with the ability to prioritize competing requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to embrace change and demonstrate diplomacy, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Digital and social media savvy, with a strong grasp on evolving digital media trends.
- Ability to confidently provide strategic guidance to senior leaders and educate/influence others on communications best practices.
