About the Role
GFT is seeking Senior Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineering talent to contribute to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. The role involves designing and managing municipal servicing projects, focusing on integrating technology, sustainability, and compliance to protect public health and enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Undertake the design of municipal servicing projects, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory applications.
- Coordinate design with various agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.
- Liaise with clients, municipalities, and agencies for approvals.
- Assist in developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Prepare contract documents for construction, including drawings and specifications.
- Conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.
- Provide services during construction, including submittal reviews and clarifications.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
- Mentor junior team members on municipal infrastructure design.
- Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, and client communications.
- Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering.
- P.Eng. licensure with P.E.O.
- 10 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Master Planning, Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario is an asset.
- Contract administration experience is an asset.
