About the Role
HealthPRO Pediatrics is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. We are currently seeking a compassionate and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in the Aurora, New York area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
- Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
- Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
- Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution. (CCC-SLP only)
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Skills
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
