About the Role
The Baillie Group's Rip Line is seeking motivated Finished Goods Handlers to join their team for the 2nd shift. This is a full-time, direct-hire position at a leading commercial hardwood lumber manufacturer experiencing exponential growth.
Responsibilities
- Identify the sort for the carts you are responsible for.
- Place finished products into the correct carts according to the width & length of the pieces.
- Place each piece with the following criteria: Top, bottom and outside pieces will be the longest.
- Ensure all edges are free of knots, wane, and other defects.
- Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer.
- Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart.
- Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Detail oriented.
- Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task.
- Great attitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and stoop.
- Employment is contingent on successfully passing a physical examination, including drug screening.
Skills
- Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred.
- Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide, read a measuring tape, calipers, digital indicators).
