About the Role
Support the Musical Theater Specialist in creating, organizing, and implementing a full youth musical theater production for grades 4-8. The role involves curriculum development, teaching, and ensuring a positive and safe program environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the organization and implementation of Musical Theater curriculum including singing, dance choreography, set design, and acting.
- Assist the Musical Theater Specialist in delivering 13 weeks of programming, including creating supply lists, curriculum development, and teaching design lessons.
- Implement an interactive, age-appropriate curriculum.
- Support participant drop-off and pick-up processes.
- Provide excellent customer service to families by communicating about their participant’s experience.
- Set-up and clean-up of program spaces.
- Implement regular safety checks of supplies and tools.
- Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills.
- Model appropriate behavior for participants.
- Set clear and consistent expectations and resolve behavioral problems with assistance from supervisor.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with youth or in youth programming.
- At least 1 year of musical theater experience.
- Knowledge and ability to explain and facilitate age-appropriate design and tool use skills for elementary and middle school-aged campers.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Must have enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to improvise.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand/walk for multiple hours.

About the Company
