About the Role
As a General Manager (GM), you will provide reliable financial solutions to help customers navigate daily challenges. As the primary leader of the store, you will manage daily operations and lead your team to increase revenue, maintain compliance, and strengthen customer loyalty through first-class customer service. This is a dynamic, customer-focused environment designed to inspire high performance, growth, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall store performance by meeting or exceeding Company performance standards.
- Coach, lead, and develop all team members to build new business and increase store growth.
- Lead the charge for all team members to identify local marketing strategies, use business-to-business partnership opportunities, obtain referrals, host and participate in community and in-store events to steer growth and build revenue.
- Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and all relevant transactions, and assess risk within established limits.
- Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and state laws and regulations.
- Supervise and maintain office security including cash management and loss prevention.
- Conduct proper opening and closing procedures and train new staff in keyholder duties.
- Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.
- Develop work schedules in accordance with budget, workloads, and store needs.
- Handle complex customer situations that arise with integrity and professionalism.
- Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and address basic facility needs.
- Work efficiently in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenging tasks with ease.
- Maintain a full-time work schedule with regular, in-person attendance, including weekends.
Requirements
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years’ experience with proven success in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, finance, service, or related industries.
- Operations experience in a leadership capacity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using phones, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
- Background check required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of this position, which frequently includes remaining in a stationary position, including standing up to 90% of the time; moving and transporting up to 25 pounds; moving inside and outside of the store; and operating mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
