About the Role

Disney Consumer Products is seeking a fashion-driven Licensing Sales Manager to shape the future of its Softlines business across EMEA. This role involves leading apparel licensing strategies and building fashion partnerships with key retailers and licensees to drive revenue, margin, and brand relevance. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion, tracks emerging trends, and can translate cultural insights into commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fashion-first partnerships across EMEA, owning key account management for the Softlines business.
  • Drive commercial performance through smart forecasting, P&L ownership, and contract negotiation.
  • Partner with Creative, Merchandising/Buying, and Product Development to create standout collections.
  • Define and deliver long-term and annual category strategies for apparel.
  • Translate brand storytelling and cultural insight into scalable, growth-driving plans across EMEA.
  • Connect trend signals with commercial insight to identify opportunities and activate partners.
  • Lead senior-level relationships, joint business planning, and quarterly forecasting with licensees.
  • Manage regional contract negotiations and ensure alignment across global, EMEA, and local stakeholders.
  • Shape product development and go-to-market strategies for digital, social, ecommerce, and retail environments.
  • Coordinate the International Labour Standards (ILS) process, ensuring supply chain compliance.
  • Build compelling pitches and validate scalable growth opportunities for the fashion portfolio.
  • Share best practices across EMEA and translate local consumer insight into cross-functional strategies.

Requirements

  • Fashion background in buying, merchandising, product development, or commercial fashion sales (Softlines).
  • Strong commercial experience with proven P&L ownership, forecasting, and planning.
  • Financial acumen; comfortable turning numbers into actionable plans.
  • Data-driven decision-making: Analyze performance, construct practical conclusions, and implement recommendations.
  • Resilience and agility in a fast-moving landscape; able to prioritize and pivot.
  • Relationship builder and influencer at all levels (internal teams, licensees, and retailers).
  • A sharp eye for digital, social, and brick-and-mortar marketing in fashion/apparel.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills; forward-thinking and innovation-minded.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of local market differences across EMEA.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
