About the Role

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Manhattan, NY territory. This role involves supporting Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process and guiding them toward a successful online learning experience. You will play an integral role in providing students with a roadmap for success from application through to completion of their initial classes.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory.
  • Build awareness of online academic programs for education, healthcare, and business.
  • Drive inquiry generation.
  • Shape high-impact partnerships for your territory.
  • Execute daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.
  • Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners through various mediums.
  • Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process.
  • Guide students on the right path towards a successful online learning experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in outside business development, consultative sales, or account management.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • Outstanding time management skills, including prioritizing competing priorities while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills, including explaining concepts, and comfort communicating in person, in writing, and on the phone.
  • Well-developed listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed; willingness to volunteer for new challenges.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to use personal vehicle for travel.
  • Some events might require evening and/or weekend availability.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant industry-related professional experience (bonus points).
  • Experience working with CRM tools (bonus points).
