About the Role

Lead Direct Care Staff during your assigned shift and help ensure individuals receive exceptional care, support, and opportunities to maximize their independence. You'll play a critical role in supporting both residents and staff by coordinating daily activities, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide Direct Care Staff during assigned shifts
  • Assign staff responsibilities and daily activities based on individual needs and program requirements
  • Adjust schedules and assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care
  • Mentor staff and promote a positive, professional work environment
  • Maintain attendance, performance, training, and personnel records
  • Help ensure high-quality care and therapeutic interactions
  • Encourage independence in daily living activities, recreation, and community involvement
  • Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered supports
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the residence
  • Conduct and document fire drills and evacuation procedures
  • Assist with implementing agency policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of experience supporting children or adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities
  • Valid New York State Driver's License + 1 year licensed driving experience

  • $21.50 - $22.79 Hourly (includes shift differentials)
