About the Role
As an International Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in the company's growth strategy by assisting International Payments Specialists and providing credit, financing, treasury, payment, and international banking services to a diverse client base. You will work in close partnership with internal teams and external specialists to identify and support client needs, participating in a development plan designed for career progression within the firm.
Responsibilities
- Service the specific non-US corporate banking needs of the firm’s targeted prospects and clients
- Assist colleagues to manage the implementation, on-boarding & ramping of new business mandates from clients & prospects
- Uncover and scope new sales opportunities within the existing client base
- Maintain ongoing client relationships, including reviewing pricing, obtaining exception approvals, and addressing legal or compliance reviews
- Prepare for key client meetings by creating presentation materials, performing client research, and obtaining relationship details
- Manage the client onboarding/implementation experience
- Manage deal pipelines and monitor portfolio profitability
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in corporate banking, corporate treasury, finance, consulting or finance sales to mid-cap corporates
- 1+ years’ of Treasury experience
- Interest in learning international corporate banking and global treasury
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to build and maintain relationships globally
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Persistent and detailed follow-up
- Enjoys working in a client-facing role, with eventual opportunity through career advancement of managing their own portfolio of clients
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and learn via networking and peer to peer education
