About the Role

This position involves transporting racks on smokehouse racks to the drencher and staging area, performing scaling, measuring, and recording information, setting up and cleaning machines, and performing general housekeeping duties while complying with all safety and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lift a maximum of 40 pounds eye level and above, push 500-pound racks.
• Scaling, transporting, measuring, and recording information as required by Quality Control or management.
• Setup and remove various machines and clean out metal detectors.
• Remove full racks, scale, and enter information into the computer.
• Help empty inedible pans.
• Perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Obtain a Class II power tow motor certification.
• Read and comprehend all required daily paperwork, labels, and computer work.
• Complete all paperwork and SAP functions and computer functions.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.
• Push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 40 pounds frequently.
• Use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
• Flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
• Stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
• Work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.

Requirements

• 3 months work history with the same employer
• Not accepting rehires
• Background checks may be required for certain roles.
• Hourly applicants must complete a task after application submission to be considered.

Skills

• Machine Operator experience preferred
• Manufacturing setting experience preferred
• RF Scanner experience preferred
