About the Role

As a Security Officer - Lobby Access Control, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, helping to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and other security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be 21 years of age or older.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
