About the Role
As a Security Officer - Lobby Access Control, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, helping to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and other security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
