About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, building perimeters, parking areas, loading zones, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation protocols.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with property procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
