About the Role
Jabil is seeking a Senior Hardware Test Development Engineer to directly contribute to the transformative growth within our Intelligent Infrastructure division by applying unique and innovative approaches to solving problems within a large-scale software production environment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products, contributing to overall manufacturing success and customer satisfaction. You will contribute to the end-to-end architecture, definition, development, and production deployment of software applications and infrastructure spanning multiple customers and manufacturing regions, interfacing with internal teams and end customers to ensure deliverables meet rigorous standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop test systems and procedures for manufacturing processes, including creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Create, validate, release, and maintain test software and scripts that automate the testing process.
- Support and maintain manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) level test software and infrastructure, including implementing minor system configuration changes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure for manufacturing servers and racks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing requirements and quality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Define and collaborate on overall test infrastructure and application architectures.
- Travel up to 10% globally as required.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required.
- 5-8 years’ experience in software manufacturing test development/sustaining with enterprise server, storage or networking products is required.
- A combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with server hardware interaction, validation, and configuration.
- Experience in 2-3 of the core skills listed, with expectation to expand skillset.
- Expertise with code versioning tools (Git preferred).
- Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- MS in EE/CE, Computer Science preferred.
- Experience working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environments is a plus.
- Expertise in working with hyperscale customers is a plus.
