About the Role
Sunnyview Rehab Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join our team as a Part-Time Speech and Language Pathologist! This individual is needed for 20 weekly hours. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, integrating examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and interventions to maximize functional outcomes.
- Formulate comprehensive treatment programs for patients with cognitive linguistic, communication, dysphagia/swallowing, and voice/respiratory disorders.
- Identify and refer patients for appropriate related services.
- Assess patient rehabilitation needs across the continuum of care and provide disposition, equipment, education, and treatment recommendations.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory, and facility compliance standards.
- Participate in initiatives to improve quality of care, productivity, policies, and standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree.
- Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship year.
- Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
