About the Role

The Analyst is responsible for conducting research and analysis on relevant industry trends, emerging regulations, and strategic opportunities to fulfill the company’s sustainability objectives, reporting requirements, and program commitments. The Analyst will play an important role in advancing the company's sustainability agenda, working closely with the team to develop, implement and enhance sustainability initiatives that align with corporate objectives. This position requires a strategic analyst with knowledge of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and corporate governance practices. The Analyst will execute project plans and collaborate with various departments and internal stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes and financial returns.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the company’s sustainability strategy while ensuring alignment with the overall business goals, mission, vision and values.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the company’s annual Sustainability Report in alignment with sustainability standards, industry best practices and stakeholder expectations.
  • Prepare presentations and management reports.
  • Conduct research on relevant industry trends, best practices, standards and emerging regulations to fulfill the company’s sustainability objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the renewable energy strategy to achieve the company's goals and targets.
  • Deliver cross-functional sustainability assignments to support the company’s sustainability strategy.
  • Analyze benchmarks and key performance indicators to measure the progress, effectiveness and impact of various initiatives.
  • Report on project workstream outcomes while making recommendations for improvements.
  • Support analysis for annual shareholder engagement meetings on sustainability with the company’s largest investors.
  • Draft responses to credit and sustainability rating agencies and the company’s key customers to optimize ratings and achieve market recognition.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, accounting, and commercial affairs.
  • Research relevant legislation, regulations and standards related to sustainability to ensure compliance across all markets of operations.
  • Support climate risk and impact assessments, contribute to reporting under voluntary and regulatory frameworks and research strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Conduct the collection, analysis and reporting of quantitative and qualitative sustainability data and metrics.
  • Follow robust processes for collecting, analyzing, and verifying sustainability-related data.
  • Contribute to emissions accounting for Scopes 1, 2 and 3, in line with GHG Protocol standards and third-party assurance requirements.
  • Prepare periodic reports that track progress toward project workstreams.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost savings and improved resource management.
  • Review external statements and policies annually.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Provide guidance and review the work of junior team members.
  • Encourage team member engagement around sustainable practices throughout the company.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MBA, Sustainability, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant business experience in corporate sustainability or management consulting.
  • Ability to conduct research and data collection related to sustainability strategies and programs.
  • Foundational business acumen.
  • Experience supporting sustainability reporting activities for publicly listed companies.
  • Exposure to industry standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, IFRS S1/S2, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
  • Foundational analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of emissions accounting under the GHG Protocol standards.
  • Strong communication and business writing skills.
  • Ability to perform research and analysis to support team activities.
  • Driven, collaborative, accountable, resilient analyst with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel or crouch.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit.

Salary/Compensations

  • $68,896.00 - $110,189.00
