About the Role
As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic, you will maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft engines, modules, components, and accessories to ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations, and airworthiness regulations. You will perform technical troubleshooting using mechanical ability and product knowledge, and cross-train in complementary skills as needed to support production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct necessary troubleshooting and/or repair on turbine engines.
- Disassemble and assemble various models of turbine engines according to sequence using aircraft tools and equipment for repair and/or overhaul.
- Inspect engine parts using precision measuring tools to detect defects.
- Evaluate engine parts to determine repairability and route accordingly.
- Inspect aircraft engine parts to determine and/or perform NDT requirements.
- Utilize applicable database systems to retrieve information regarding parts inventory, manufacturing models, serial numbers, and other pertinent information.
- Refer to technical publications, specification sheets, and regulatory requirements to ensure tasks are completed in proper sequence and signed off.
- Perform general facility cleaning and maintenance.
Requirements
- 1-5 years or more experience in gas turbine engine/components maintenance and repair.
- Previous engine maintenance experience in the aerospace field on turbine engines.
- Computer literacy skills are required.
- Must be able to read, interpret and understand technical manuals, work specifications, and written work instructions.
- Ability to read micrometers and other precision-measuring instruments.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally with peers, clients, and the public.
- Ability to get along with co-workers and peers.
- Maintenance of regular attendance and punctuality.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
